Midweek Devon getaways this September

Make Crealy the perfect base for your midweek Devon getaway this September.

Even though the Theme Park is closed between Monday - Friday throughout September, a luxury Lodge equipped with your very own private hot tub, a themed Glamping Tent or a touring pitch with electric hook-up at Crealy makes the perfect base to explore Devon.

Crealy is the perfect retreat for families and with an idyllic location, you can explore the surrounding areas of East Devon if you wanted a day away from the Resort. You'll also have exclusive access to on site facilities such as the Clubhouse, Multi Sports Court and Adventure Golf Course.

Please note that the Theme Park is closed Monday – Friday from 7th September until 23rd October. The Theme Park will only open at weekends.

Devon has always been one of the UK's hot spots for tourism thanks to its beautiful beaches, seaside towns and countryside views. With Crealy situated in the heart of East Devon, we’re lucky enough to be surrounded by all this! Our accommodation lies in the heart of all what Devon has to offer so it’s time to swap out that vacation for a staycation this year and embrace what we’re lucky enough to have right on our doorstep...

Beaches galore

Beer Beach - 30 minutes from the Resort.

If there’s one thing we’re not short of in Devon – it’s picturesque seaside towns surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches, overlooked by scenic cliffs. From a stroll along Torquay's palm-lined promenade and Pier to fun in the sun on the sandy beaches of Exmouth or Dawlish Warren, there’s plenty to enjoy within a one hour radius of Crealy Resort. Many of Devon’s beaches carry Blue Flag status, so you know the water’s clean and safe for a visit during your stay in Devon.

Or maybe perhaps you want to try surfing? Venture out a bit further to one of the most renowned surfing beaches in the UK - Croyde Bay, highly regarded by surfers for its consistent surf all year round. Don't fancy jumping on the board? Hang out by the rock pools and see what sea life you can find or stroll up the coast to the headland, Baggy Point.

Our National Parks

Rich with history and waiting to be explored, Devon is home to two national parks; Exmoor and Dartmoor, both within an hour facinity of Crealy so you can explore the views of the county either by foot or bike.

Dartmoor, famous for it's Tors, has been a platform for inspiration for many years to some of the country's most renowned authors and poets including the likes of Jane Austen, Agatha Christie and Thomas Hardy. Home to open moorlands, deep river valleys and rare wildlife, it's no wonder why! In the history of Dartmoor also lies a lot of tales of ghosts, witches and dragons for those who are interested by the idea of the supernatural...

Quality food & drink

No holiday in Devon is complete without trying our delicious local food and drink. From fresh seafood landed at Brixham through to organic meat, local cheeses and even wine, the ‘Taste of the West’ goes well beyond clotted cream and fudge!

History galore

If you choose Devon accommodation at Crealy then you’re just 20 minutes away from the Roman city of Exeter, with its magnificent Cathedral and Tudor houses. Exeter is also home to two of the city's best shopping centres - Princesshay and Guildhall. With all your favourite high street brands, luxury brands and numerous food & drink outlets to choose from, it makes a great destination for a shopping day out! Or why not head up onto wild Dartmoor and discover Prehistoric stone circles and roundhouses?

Whatever you're looking for, whether that's the hustle or bustle of a city day trip, a hike across the cliffs, or a relaxing day on the beach - Devon has it all!
