Crealy Theme Park & Resort is the South West’s largest family theme park attraction and is home to over 60 rides, attractions and live shows and zoo. Set in over 100 acres of countryside the business also consists of a large luxury lodge and camping resort that includes uniquely themed glamping accommodation.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Cleaning Manager with a passion for maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and with a keen eye for detail, to manage our Park Services Team.

You will be managing a team of cleaners on both our theme park and our holiday park, ensuring the highest levels of hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times. Along with interviewing, training and providing on-going support to the team you will personally act as an ambassador throughout the day, helping to create first-class experiences for our guests.

  • Ensure full compliance across the department in accordance with Health and Safety regulations including the handling of chemicals, use of machinery, manual handling and lone working policies.  
  • Stock control, auditing and ordering using purchase order system
  • Direct budget responsibility for labour costs within department
  • Work directly with a team of up to 25 cleaners to ensure full training, development and on-going mentoring
  • Write and review training manuals and risk assessments relating to the department
  • Hands-on, front-line operational duties as required
  • Perform regular facility audits, ensuring cleanliness, presentation and maintenance standards are to a high level
  • Liaise with external partners and suppliers
  • This role offers varied support to the rest of the operational departments across the resort, including our Engineering/Maintenance, Rides, Grounds and Food & Beverage teams
  • Excellent attention to detail and superb leadership skills are essential for this role

  • Flexible to work varied hours (between 7.00am-11.00pm) throughout the year. This role also requires the successful candidate to work weekends, bank holidays and in school holidays.

Skills & Experiences:

  • Experience of leading/supervising a team
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in cleaning/janitorial/custodian role
  • Knowledge and understanding of safety and risk management control systems including formulation of training and safety procedures
  • Confident using computerised systems
  • Great organisational skills
  • Ability to effectively rota a team to ensure business needs are meet
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An ability to drive standards throughout both the theme park and resort
  • Full driving licence (essential)
  • Qualified First Aider (desirable but not essential)

£25,000 per annum and 30 days holiday
