About the Role

This is really a broad role touching all aspects of Technical Event Production.   You will oversee the operation and upkeep of all the entertainment equipment used to light stages and performance areas, provide sound to enhance performances and spaces and also install these as required.

Working as part of a team of six you will assist with delivering the park’s daily entertainment and events programme. You will be required to rehearse and perform in our programme of daily live shows,  in the 4 performance areas across the park.  No day is the same,  you may even be broadcasting live on our Crealy Radio Station.  

You will primarily operate in the Crealy Arena for the main and peak events.  You will operate the sound and lighing desk during major shows such as our February Half Term Wrestling event, Summer and Christmas Spectacular Shows as well as a Halloween themed show.

You will also be required to oversee the upkeep and operation of the technical equipment in our other venues on the theme park and resort. This includes all sound and lighting equiment during the events.  Work may also be required off resort at team and external events.

During low season you will be expected to assist in the preparation for events, with our Projects PA and this may include overseeing important aspects to ensure that the park looks suitable to be opened for the relevant holiday events (Halloween & Christmas).  You would be expected to drive company vehicles around the theme park delivering and putting up decorations, taking down and dressing venues as well as using creative input to achieve the highest standard for our guests.

The initial contract period is for February Half Term  14th February - 22nd February 2020 and then the full season contract dates are 23rd March 2020 - 24th December 2020

A full driving licence is preferred for this position.  

About You

Ideally you will have had previous experience in QLab or similar and have worked in a holiday park environment or similar.   Experience in working in a stage crew environment is preferred, whilst be willing to be adaptable and learn new skills.

You must be willing, as required, to perform minimal Entertainment host duties, to assist with operational demands of a theme park and resort.  This could include but is not limited to character work, hosting bingo and party dances.

You will be flexible, friendly and approachable with  a 'can do', team player attitude and have a great eye for detail and strive to provide excellent guest experiences.   You must be available to work in all of the peak periods and to be able to work bank holidays, evenings and weekends, as required
