Victorian Carousel
This beautiful set of Gallopers was built in 1884 by the famous
carousel makers, Walkers of Tewkesbury. She toured throughout the UK
before going to America.
This Carousel starred in several Hollywood movies including 'Home Boy'
with Mickey Rourke.
Discovered languishing and unloved in a movie lot, the Carousel came home to the UK and was lovingly restored by Colin Jones of Dorset, aided by Master Craftsman, Ms Liz Mangol, who specialises in restoring vintage carousels.
Originally a travelling ride, designed to assemble and break-down in a matter of hours each time, this beautiful antique ride now has a permanent home as the centre-piece to Devon's Crealy Great Adventure Park.
Especially popular with (evening events), (festive parties) and (wedding celebrations), the much-loved Carousel shelters beneath a purpose-built canopy surrounded by fragrant garden beds.
