Crealy Adventure Theme Park

Creatures of Legend

Far across the Caspian sea, where Europe meets Asia,

our intrepid Animal Wranglers voyaged and made a discovery so amazing that even we still can't believe it:

Mystical, mythological Unicorns - cared for within faraway forests by a remote tribe of native peoples.

The Tribal Protectors agreed to travel with their precious Unicorns here to

Devon's Crealy, in order to share with you the goodness of these magical creatures.

From Ancient Legends:

The first of these creatures is said to have appeared almost 5000 years ago to give Emperor Fu His secrets of written language.

In the 3rd century B.C. Alexander the Great boasted that he rode one of these creatures into battle. Roman Emperor Julius Caesar reported seeing one in the deep forests of south western Germania (Germany).

Overall, this creature has come to be regarded as a pure and virtuous animal. There was a strong belief in the creature’s existence in Biblical times, as well in the following centuries.

A creature so gentle it won’t even tread on an insect and so sensitive that it can feel the weight of a shadow cast by the light of the moon.

Now you too can today encounter these most revered and mythical creatures of legend

The Unicorn is one of the most magical of all animals. It remains one of the great “unsolved mysteries” of the world.

Now for the first time ever, you can actually visit real live Unicorns.

Never before seen, the Unicorns have 24 hour security and care from their

Tribal Protectors, who have journeyed with them to the UK.

Beloved of Royalty throughout the ages, Unicorns hold a special place

in British hearts, featuring on our Royal Crests.

No photograph can do justice to these wonderful creatures.

Come and visit the Unicorns,

rarest Creatures of Legend.

Come and be amazed.

Together we will keep the magic alive.

“Well, now that we have seen each other”, said the Unicorn, “If you’ll believe in me, I’ll believe in you.”

--Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll

One of Crealy's main aims is to encourage increased respect for and understanding of animals. We take our responsibilities very seriously. All of our Unicorns are carefully protected and cared for. Each is happy and contented to be here in their temporary home at Devon's Crealy Great Adventure Park. Unicorns do not like bright lights and loud noises so photography and recording is not permitted within the Creatures of Legend exhibit. The Unicorns are at Devon's Crealy for a brief time only. As the welfare of all creatures at Crealy is of paramount importance, viewing is restricted to certain times. Unicorns, like other members of the equine world can sleep and be awake at the times during the day and night and therefore are perfectly happy to be in the low level light of this attraction. The RSPCA and World Horse Welfare have been consulted regarding the Creatures of Legend attraction. VIP Tickets guaranteeing visits with a Unicorn are available to buy online
