Hi everyone
Great news this week!
East Devon District Council have approved plans for 5 star eco lodges here at the Park. The accommodation will have far-reaching benefits in terms of jobs, local businesses and by encouraging year round tourism in Devon. This will enable Crealy to invest in even more Maximum Fun for you at the Park, whilst benefiting the environment.
We are grateful to East Devon District Council for the favourable decision and appreciate the good relationships we have with the councillors and staff at the council office at Sidmouth.
We are working closely with council planners to also resolve an outstanding procedural issue with regard to some of the rides. This stems from some changes of decision by the council regarding the Amusement Park status agreed by the council 8 years ago.
As you may remember, last year we overcame a similar issue regarding the Tidal Wave log flume and Victorian Carousel. We are now awaiting instruction from the council to bring the Coaster, Pirate Ship, Prince’s Train and Tractor Yard within procedure.
East Devon District Council and Crealy, are very confident the rides will be retained with some further enhancements.
We will action their suggestions swiftly to ensure those areas of Crealy fit their requirements and improve for you as guests, as with Tidal Wave Terror, which is scarier than ever with the new tunnel!
Thank you for your support and I look forward to seeing you at the Park soon.
