Learn to Brush Ramp with a Pro Surfer!

We are all really looking to Half Term - as I am sure you are too!

We announced the exciting news yesterday that John Hibbard the 2007 UK Wave Sailing Champion is coming to Devon's Crealy on Tuesday 27th May to help Extreme Sports Zone launch their amazing new Brush Ramp! I really hope you can make it along on Tuesday (or Thursday in Cornwall) to try out this revolutionary new surf ramp! It must be good - even the British Surfing Association have agreed it's a great way to learn or practise suring or snowboarding without getting wet (or cold!).

In the meantime - remember Noddy is coming to Crealy in just 2 days time! Visit this Sunday to see Noddy and his car at intervals between 10am and 12noon at Devon's Crealy or 3pm and 5pm at Cornwall's Crealy!

Finally just to say that we had a great Learning at Work day yesterday with staff trying out lots of new skills and activities including Pilates and Sign Language (see photo!), and learning more about disability awareness and how to master public speaking!

Noddy is on his way!

Hello!
Less than one week to go til Noddy arrives to meet you all here at Crealy on Sunday 25th May!

Remember to arrive early if you're coming to Devon's Crealy as Noddy is here between 10am and 12noon and we're opening our gates at 9am so you get an extra hour in the Park!

If Cornwall's Crealy is closer to you then make sure you stay on until 3pm when Noddy arrives! You'll be able to see him around the Park until 5pm!

Well...last week was very exciting - Dina and Crealy Bear met lots of new friends at the Devon County Show! Crealy Bear even got to sit on a Highway's Agency motorbike and posed for photos with a robot! Apparently almost 90,000 people visited the Show during the 3 days and I'm sure most of them visited the Crealy stand while they were there!

It was also confirmed that Crealy will be home to this year's most exciting launch in the surf and skate world! The Brush Board will be launched for the very first time at Devon's Crealy on Tuesday 27th May and then at Cornwall's Crealy on Thursday 29th May!

Half Term at Crealy will be the best so far with all this plus daily MayPole Dancing with our famous Ents Team!

Where's Dina at the Devon County Show?

WIN WIN WIN!!!!

If you plan to visit the Devon County Show this week - Thursday, Friday or Saturday - pop in and see us! We're in a blue and white stripey tent along Road 12 on your right if you come through the Brown Main Pedestrian entrance - we're opposite Gemini FM near the Police stand!

It would be great to meet you - plus you can cuddle the friendliest animals, see Crealy Bear or maybe Dina and of course meet the Rangers! Plus you enter the competition to win a Crealy Membership by guessing the number of Dina's in the box!

Come and see our cute new foal - with one blue eye!

The long-awaited photo is finally here - check out our stunning new foal which has stopped every guest in their tracks over the past few days - he is usually in the paddock by the Giftshop with his mummy!

Meet our newest foal!

Hyacinth, a piebald Miniature Shetland has had the cutest foal we've seen this year!

The colt (boy!) foal was born last night and is a beautiful grey and white piebald with one blue eye - just like his mum! You can also see his picture in the Western Morning News over the next day or so!

We're having a naming competition - the name must begin with 'N' to mark 2008 as his year of birth! Enter your suggestion next time you're here!

Spider-Man, Spider-Man...and false alarms!

Bank Holiday Monday, May 5, 2008


Well, thanks to all the Spider-Kids who came to climb, leap and jump along with Spider-Man! What a GREAT day on bank holiday Sunday!

Today started early for me and Kate (Animal Farm Manager) when we were paged by the new foaling alarm at 5.30am! We have two mares due to foal any day - Hyacinth the piebald Shetland and Fern (Inferno) our home-bred Dartmoor. Needless to say it was a false alarm - but we enjoyed having the Park to ourselves and getting a head start on the day. Look out for Hyacinth and Fern when you're in - and listen out for the patter of tiny hooves! The foaling alarm is really clever - it fits onto the headcoller and pages our 'phones when the mares lie down flat - so we're waiting to see if Hyacinth will foal later today.

Spider-Man is arriving at Devon's Crealy this Sunday at 10.30am! Although he's here all day, we wanted to make sure you all got to see him for as long as possible so we're opening early! Gates open at 9am!
