Crealy Great Adventure Park was established in 1989 by Angela Wright, MBE and her family. Her upbringing at Hayes Barton in East Budleigh, the birthplace of Sir Walter Raleigh was the inspiration for Crealy Adventure Park. Growing up with an understanding and respect for animals and farming, Angela wanted to build a park that was a recreation of her country childhood, where people could play in the adventure playgrounds, hold and feed the animals, ride the ponies and learn about farming. Consequently, Crealy was born!

Angela carried out the initial research and planning for the park from 1987 until its opening two years later. When you think that Crealy started out as an open farm with just the outdoor playground and restaurant as additions to the farm and animal side you can see how far it has come! Devon’s Crealy now boasts a huge list of rides, attractions and events and the opening of Cornwall’s Crealy near Padstow in 2004 confirmed Crealy’s position as the leading family attraction in the Southwest, attracting over half a million guests each year!

Crealy grows more popular as time goes on, and the facilities and attractions it offers grow too! Devon and Cornwall’s Crealy provide outstanding holiday accommodation from luxury farmhouses and lodges to camping. Over the next 3 years both Parks will also embark on an exciting development of 5 star holiday homes, with Cornwall’s ready to go in 2010!

2009 sees not only the launch of some great new attractions in the Parks, but also a great new look to the website. Our Crealy Celebrations, Crealy Camping and Crealy Kids Adventure Club sites showcase the superb options available to families, groups and businesses!
